For use in explo­si­ve are­as of Zone 1, the requi­re­ments are so high that nor­mal­ly pres­su­re-tight encap­su­la­ted actua­tors are used. Becau­se of the low num­ber of Ex 1 actua­tors com­pa­red to nor­mal app­li­ca­ti­ons, the costs for parts and cer­ti­fi­ca­ti­on are reflec­ted in high equip­ment pri­ces. Fur­ther­mo­re, you as a user have the pro­blem that you are con­fron­ted with com­ple­te­ly dif­fe­rent actua­tors in the nor­mal and hazar­dous area and a total­ly dif­fe­rent set­ting and com­mis­sio­ning. For the­se rea­sons, ARIS is taking a dif­fe­rent approach. The stan­dard dri­ves Nano+, Ten­sor and CL (up to 40 Nm) are hou­sed in an addi­tio­nal pres­su­re-resistant enclo­sure. As a result, only the outer hou­sing chan­ges for you. The actua­tor remains com­ple­te­ly unch­an­ged. Fur­ther­mo­re, the use of pres­su­re-tight encap­su­la­ted stan­dard hou­sings is signi­fi­cant­ly less expen­si­ve than spe­cial pres­su­re-resistant actua­tors, but they ful­fill the same task.
